Retirement Villages Group makes key appointments to its planning and development team
Copy linkWe are delighted to announce that we have welcomed two key appointments to our planning and development team.
Chartered planning and development surveyor James Ahearne joins us as development director, having started his career working for supermarket giant Lidl, where he spent 10 years – latterly heading up its North London property office.
James first became interested in retirement development on discovering more about the industry during competitive bid situations almost 20 years ago. Since then, he has followed his interest by working for later-living sector companies PegasusLife and Amicala London.
James said: “I am delighted to be working with Retirement Villages and aim to build on what I have achieved so far within the sector to help the team to deliver best-in-class buildings, place-making and community experiences.”
Alongside James, and working closely with him and the team, is Ginny Cordy-Redden.
Development manager Ginny brings her expertise to the company, joining from development consultancy Avison Young, where she advised on a wide range of public and private sector clients.
Having previously worked across the commercial and residential sectors, this is Ginny’s first step into the retirement living arena – and one that she is very much looking forward to.
She said: “I was drawn to Retirement Villages Group because of their strong sense of purpose and also their exciting expansion plans to grow the business significantly into the urban town centre environment.
“The role provides a great opportunity to be part of positive change, not only within the company, but also within an emerging sector.”
