Boston Mayor to relaunch The Minstrels retirement village
Copy linkBoston Mayor, Councillor Peter Jordan, OBE, is set to perform a special ceremony to relaunch an established retirement village in the town.
The Minstrels on Sleaford Road is being renamed Park Place on Friday 4th February. Cllr Jordan will be invited to unveil a plaque in front of invited guests from the town, and directors from Park Place’s owner and manager Retirement Villages Ltd.
The care homes at Park Place will also be renamed – Elmwood House Nursing Home and The Gardens Residential Home.
Retirement Villages acquired the site – which has 28 independent living apartments, the 47 bed residential home incorporating the 11 bed Aspen Suite specialising in dementia care and the 48 bed nursing home – three years ago. Since then an extensive programme of refurbishment and redecoration has taken place.
“The renaming of Park Place is the final step in putting the RV stamp firmly on the retirement village,” said Paul Walsh, the Managing Director of Retirement Village’s Care and Operations Division. “The Directors, staff and residents are very much looking forward to welcoming Councillor Jordan to site to perform the ceremony.”
