Low Res ESSEX RVG 0487

Welcome to our second Great Communities, Amazing Lives series, where we invite you to step into the heart of our communities and find out more about the people who make them so special. Each resident has their own unique story to tell, but what truly brings them together is a sense of community and the freedom to live their lives as they choose. At RVG, we support our residents to lead independent, active lives surrounded by like-minded people.

We visited three of our amazing communities and sat down with the residents to hear their stories—why they chose to move, what they love about their new homes, and how their lives have flourished. Across our villages, we see a consistent theme: a welcoming environment, vibrant social calendars, a sense of security, and outstanding support from staff.

We’re on a mission to change perceptions and challenge stereotypes about retirement and integrated retirement communities. Through conversations with our residents and teams, you'll hear first-hand how retirement living is filled with companionship, activities, and shared experiences.

Say hello to a warm welcome at Charters Village

Charters is a warm and welcoming retirement community in West Sussex, where residents enjoy the freedom to live life on their own terms. With fantastic facilities and the flexibility to come and go as they please, they have peace of mind knowing that support is always there when needed.

Marie, an avid gardener, treasures the security of village life and appreciates that the gardening team looks after her beloved plants when she’s away. Katie, a ballet teacher, brings joy and laughter to her classes, helping residents stay active while having fun. And David, the Head Gardener, sums it up perfectly—Charters is simply a wonderful place to be.
