The team at Debden Grange is working hard to reduce single-use plastics across the community.
One initiative in the village the community has got behind is the plastic-free pop-up shop that is now visiting the community. The team has been working in conjunction with Green Pear Eco, which supplies products that make eco-friendly living easy for everyone. Green Pear Eco is based near Cambridge. Their pop-up shop visits Debden Grange once a month providing products and advice to anyone trying to live more sustainability.
The community hopes to reduce single-use plastic by around 20% across the village through the initiative. Tom Lee, Village Manager, comments, “The community is really behind the idea. Everyone wants to do their bit to help the planet and this is a brilliant and practical way for everyone to get involved.”
