Residents at Mayford Grange have been getting into the festive spirit this week. Along with some members of the grounds team. They got together and held a Christmas wreath-making session. The session enabled everyone to design their own Christmas wreaths, designed to hang on everyone’s front door and around the clubhouse.
The grounds at Mayford Grange are beautiful all year round and wintertime is no different. Residents collected various items from the grounds to make their wreaths, this included various greenery and some winter berries. Some residents, who enjoy walking in the local woods, collected holly and evergreen branches from the woods too, ensuring there was enough for all to take part.
Once all the greenery was collected they set about making the wreaths. Each person had a wire coil to bend and twist their chosen decorations around. Accompanied by Christmas music and a drink the festive craft afternoon was enjoyed by all.
Melanie Falkner, Deputy General Manager, commented,
We are really getting in the Christmas spirit here at Mayford Grange. The clubhouse looks great and we have lots of resident events planned over the period.
