The coronation of King Charles III was a moment in history for many people across the United Kingdom to get together and celebrate a new era for the country. Young, old, and everyone in between tuned in to see the event which was streamed across the world.

In our communities, the atmosphere was buzzing with a host of different events from dinner and drinks to BBQs and bands. Some residents reminisced about the previous Coronation, sharing memories of how different life was then, but everyone enjoyed the opportunity to get together and celebrate.

Here’s a roundup from our communities.

Roseland Parc

At Roseland Parc the team planted a magnific King Charles Oak tree in their walled garden. The gardens in the community are something to behold, and head gardener Bob won a series of awards at the Early Chelsea Flower Show in April this year, so the addition of this tree will only enhance them further.

They also held a BBQ on the terrace and joined in the wider celebrations at the Tregony Village Big Lunch on Sunday.

Melanie Evans, Village Manager, commented, "Seeing everyone come together for a BBQ in our stunning grounds was fantastic, it was a lot of fun for everyone."

Nigel Walters, Village Manager, said, “It was a delightful weekend and the community was a hive of activity. Lunch was a great success and many people stayed into the evening enjoying each other’s company.”

Many residents took part in the best-decorated crown competition, with the winner, Barbara, enjoying a bottle of prosecco to share with family and friends. She also cut the fabulous Coronation cake that was decorated with a Royal Emblem.

Village Manager, Lisa Marie, commented, “Moat Park is such a special place. The whole community came together on Saturday to celebrate. I’m very proud of everyone who helped to make the weekend events so enjoyable.”
