Centred around the magnificent Charters Towers, you’ll always find a buzz of activity at the community, whether that’s the monthly Tunbridge Wells trips, the social clubs, or the actual buzz from the onsite bee hive. From the facilities we have, to the clubs we run, to the meals we serve, we’re evolving as our residents do to make sure that, no matter what, it’s all about you.
But don’t just take our word for it, come and see what life in our village looks like for yourself.

What to expect from your visit
Arrival
Our friendly team will greet you with a drinks reception and spend some time getting to know a bit more about you and what you want from your retirement.
Village tour
Next, it’s time for your personal tour. Many of our residents come here to get back to nature, and a tour of the grounds will show you why. We’ll also take you around our fantastic facilities, including the bistro and sunroom.
Refreshments
After your tour, you’ll be able to sample some of the wonderful homemade refreshments straight from our team in the kitchen, giving you a taste of life in the community. You'll be able to reflect.....

By Car
Charters Village is just 20 minutes off the M25 and, from there, you’ve got fantastic access to the UK’s road networks.
By Bus
From East Grinstead, take the 409, 236 or 646 and get off at Wadlands Brook Road. From there, you’re a five-minute walk away from the village.
By Train
From East Grinstead station, Charters Village is just five minutes in a taxi (there’s a taxi rank right outside the station). You can also take the 409 bus from the station and it will drop you off five minutes from the village at Wadlands Brook Road. You can reach East Grinstead direct from London Victoria.

You don’t need to bring anything, but if you’d like to bring a loved one or a pet with you, we’d love to meet them too. Let us know in advance if you’d like to bring someone along to reserve the additional space.
Certainly! We are more than happy to welcome them, but please note that pets are not permitted in the clubhouse.
